Similar to the MultiPlus, the Quattro is also a combined inverter and charger. Additionally, it can accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology plus multiple system integration features such as three or split phase operation and parallel operation. Rated at 5000VA.

Kit types:
Inverter Only (needs kit) (INV-VT-5024) - This is just the Quattro. It does not include the Digital Multi Control, MK3-USB Interface, cables, disconnects, lugs, heat shrink, or any of the components needed to incorporate it into a functioning system. You would only buy this if you already had all the other components.
RV Upgrade Kit 50A CCGX (99-VT5S24KIT)- This is a kit that includes all the components commonly needed to install the Quattro into an RV that has a 50A main panel and shore power connection. This kit includes a Victron CCGX Monitor along with a Smart Phase Selector (SPS) Patent Pending that allows a single inverter to power both sides of a 50A main panel.
Empty Shell Kit 50A CCGX (98-AC5S24) - This is a kit that includes all the components commonly needed to install the Quattro into an Empty Shell vehicle, like a Skoolie or Van Conversion. This kit includes a 50A shore power cord, inlet, Victron CCGX Monitor along with a Smart Phase Selector (SPS) Patent Pending that allows a single inverter to power both sides of the included 50A main panel.

Two AC Outputs
The main output has no-break functionality. In the event of a grid failure, or shore or generator power being disconnected, the Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption. The second output is live only when AC is available on one of the inputs of the Quattro. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as air-conditioning or a water heater can be connected to this output.
Unique PowerAssist feature
The Quattro will prevent overload of a limited AC source. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Quattros can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible.

Enable 200A alternator charging of a Victron lithium battery system. A boost button lets your house batteries start your ignition when your starter battery is dead. This kit is ideal for van conversions and skoolies. Not for use with alternators not designed to deliver 150A to a secondary battery.

The VE.Bus Smart dongle is two products in one:
First of all it is the Bluetooth accessory for Victron’s range of inverter/chargers: Multiplus-I, MultiPlus-II, Quattros, and range extension of Phoenix Inverters with a VE.Bus port. When installed, use the VictronConnect App to monitor operation and also operate the system: change the input current limit as well as switch between Off, On and Charger-only modes.
Secondly it can work as a Voltage- and Temperature-sense device for the inverter/charger. This works with all models.
For monitoring, the device is a great alternative in caravans, smaller yachts and motor homes for which the Color Control GX or Cerbo GX are a step too far.
Please note that the MultiPlus or Quattro must be updated to the latest firmware in order to utilize the dongle.

Easy start kits are typically installed on air conditioning units where the start-up surge might overwhelm an inverter. This kit also comes in a recommended Bluetooth version that allows for diagnostic feedback. Please note that the Bluetooth module does NOT allow you to control your AC unit.

Solid “Electro-Mechanical” connections are the only way to assure a continuous flow of electricity. The best way to make a solid crimp on BIG wire is with the HAMMER CRIMPER.
Clean, fray free wire ends assure the best connections. Good connections carry electricity with very little loss of “power”. And good, solid wire connections begin with a SHARP WIRE CUTTER.

Every electrical connection in an RV should be protected from corrosion by sealing the exposed wires. Heat Shrink does this. True, there are those who pull out a BIC to heat up shrink tubing, but unless you are way more experienced than lucky, then you need a TWO SPEED HEAT GUN.
